iPhones, WoW & Hosts.

I mentioned in one of my previous blogs that I’d ordered the iPhone 4 – well we had “Estimated shipping & delivery” dates emailed to us, It’s supposed to get to my house on the 14th September 2010 – I doubt it’ll get here in time.
My multi-coloured Zebra case I also talked about is Out of stock and they aren’t getting it back in.. typical, they’ve offered us the same styled case but with just pink zebra stripes on it and I’ve accepted it because it did look really nice and I’m starting to have a fascination with the colour pink haha!

I’ve started playing WoW (World of Warcraft EU) again, I’ve only purchased a month of it and I’m unsure whether I’ll be purchasing another month of subscription until the next expansion Cataclysm(sp?) is released, hmm..

Now on to my host, I’m starting to get really tired of the host I’m with, don’t get me wrong they are good hosts – but they’re doing security procedures like randomly generated FTP account passwords (which – don’t get me wrong, is a great security idea) but I’d like to be able to enable and disable that feature – and I can’t! It’s messing up creating FTP accounts and giving my new hostee’s trouble with logging onto their FTP – it’s rather annoying.

They’ve also added a new feature called “FTP Lock” which locks the ftp after a set number of hours or days, something like 8 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours and 28 days. Which again, is good, but I’m tired of not being able to enable + disable the feature – because it’s stopping some hostee’s getting on again, even when it’s enabled for 28 days and fully unlocked and functional.. Argh. I think I’ll have to email my host about this again.

Not really updated much on the site, but I am thinking of creating a new theme soon, a pink theme.

Honey, why you calling me so late?

I haven’t really updated that much, but I’ve validated the CSS & the XHTML, so now it’s valid XHTML Strict 1.0 which I’m quite pleased, I used to use XHTML Transitional, now I’ve switched to Strict. I also changed the “Recent Commenters” bit at the bottom, to my “Latest Tweets” follow me @crashthewave, also added the twitter link to the “Contact Me” section on the “About Me” Page, I’ll be updating that soon too.. adding some more things to it. I’m almost done with the hosting page, I just haven’t published it yet, the Affies one is done too just not published it yet either so I have a bit to do still.

I think I’m going to apply for Affiliates at some places, because of me going on Hiatus I don’t have many affies anymore and because of this I have 7/10 top affiliate spaces left, and the usual 5 hostee spaces, I may add 5 more hostee spaces I don’t know if I do I’ll probably add 5 more when the first 5 have been filled because there’s no point yet.

: Roll Deep – Green Light.

After 4 months of a boring hiatus page that I bet you were sick of looking at .. the websites back – with quite a lot of changes.

I don’t think I’ll be offering content or tutorials anymore, I’ll still be offering hosting so don’t worry about that! I’ve decided to just do a blog, occasionally with photos as I did a photography course in my first year of college, so I have a ton of photos plus I just like the idea of having a photo blog, I always have.

I’ve still got to set up the affiliate application & hosting application website, I’m changing my rules for hosting tbh, I’m really tempted to just close people’s websites that I already host because everyones… dead. Not one hostee has emailed me, or tried to contact me that I know of, which is rather dissapointing. But no.. I’ll keep them, I guess. I just won’t put them in the hostee section at the bottom of the page, only active hostee’s go there.

Not much has happened really I’ve just been overloaded with coursework, so I really had no time for this, my phone wouldn’t let me blog anymore so I could only blog when I got on the computer (rarely..) I ended up getting a part time summer job, only lasted about 3 weeks because I ended up getting ill and feeling really faint I almost fainted.. quite a few times, every time I worked. The heat in that place was unbelieveable, no air conditioning, no windows open, they also treated all the younger employee’s really badly, I’m still waiting for some of my pay – and I quit sometime in July.. Around 15-20th.

I got my results from college, in my art & design national diploma I got 7 Merits, 1 Distinction and in my Photography I got a D.. I was 4 marks away from a C – Really not happy. I’m not doing the second year of Photography though because I really don’t think I can handle doing a Photography exam & the coursework, as well as doing my art & design coursework, and my final major project, which lasts a few weeks longer than our normal projects which normally last 4 weeks and considering I originally went to college to do the National Diploma in Art & Design, and to only do that and to also get reasonably high grades (hopefully more Distinctions this year!) I would rather just focus on A&D for the last year, after all, it’s what I want to do when I leave college & university.

I’ve also been playing The Sims 2 again, I’m thinking about getting The Sims 3 and the expansion packs one day, if you’ve played Sims 3 what do you think? what’s it like compared to Sims 2? I absolutely love Sims 2.

As I mentioned earlier in the blog, my phone has been acting up, it had stopped connecting to the WordPress app (I had an iPhone 3G, Incredibly old, It had two owners before me haha!) started slowing down, freezing and crashing, so I ordered the iPhone 4 on Friday, It’s not here yet haha because Apple’s iPhone 4 manufacturers are having trouble keeping up with demand so it could sadly take upto a month to get to me. I also ordered 3 cases for the case and a pack of screen protectors, because I really look after my phones when I get them haha. I could only find 2 of the cases on the website to show you so here they are, a green transparent one, and a multi-colored zebra one, the other one was blue and had loads of patterns on it, it was really pretty and looked kind of vintage styled, the patterns did anyway, not the fact that it was for an iPhone 4 – that’s not very vintage! haha.

Well, that’s it I guess. Nothing else to mention, not much has happened!
